1. Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how Bizit LLC (“Bizit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the GroxStudio macOS app, visit the GroxStudio pages on swiftdev.dev, or contact support about GroxStudio.
GroxStudio is a native Mac workspace for the Grok CLI. It operates primarily on your device and connects to services you choose to use—most importantly xAI for model requests—and, when applicable, licensing and update services described below.
2. Data that stays on your Mac
The following data is stored locally. Some of it may later be transmitted when you submit a request, authorize a tool, or deliberately share it:
- Chats and conversation history used by GroxStudio and the Grok CLI session store
- Projects and related workspace organization
- Configuration and app settings
- Local diagnostics and logs (for example under your user Library logs folder), which you can reveal from Help when reporting an issue
- Encrypted secret storage managed by GroxStudio until a value is resolved for use
Studio UI state is stored in local application support locations. Grok CLI session data is shared with the installed Grok CLI according to that tool’s own layout on your Mac. GroxStudio does not operate a cloud sync service for chats or projects.
3. Prompts, attachments, and xAI
When you send a prompt or attach files in a chat, that content is sent to xAI through the Grok CLI so the model can respond and tools can run as configured. Responses and related agent activity may also flow through that path.
Context or files selected by the CLI or an authorized tool may also be sent for processing. Tools can contact other services when you configure or authorize them to do so.
Your use of xAI and the Grok CLI is governed by xAI’s terms and privacy practices. GroxStudio does not provide an xAI account or usage allowance. You are responsible for the credentials, permissions, and content you supply.
4. Voice
When you use Voice, audio is sent to xAI’s speech-to-text service so your speech can be transcribed. Voice audio is sent only while Voice is used. If you do not use Voice, that path is not engaged.
5. Encrypted secrets
Secret values you store in GroxStudio are encrypted locally on your Mac. Names used to reference secrets may remain readable so you can find and insert references without decrypting values.
A secret’s value is decrypted and sent to xAI only when you use its reference in a request (for example in a prompt that resolves a secret token). Until then, the encrypted material stays local. After a value is included in a request, it may be processed by xAI and by tools the agent runs under your configuration.
A model or tool can repeat a disclosed value in model output, tool output, diagnostic logs, or saved conversation history. The same risk applies if you disclose a value manually, attach it in a file, or authorize a tool to access it. Use secret values only when the task requires them, and review outputs before sharing them.
6. Licensing
GroxStudio creates a random Support ID for licensing. That identifier is stored using Apple’s Keychain so it can ordinarily remain available after reinstall or on another eligible Mac signed into the same Apple account. It is not an advertising identifier.
The app’s licensing registration payload contains:
- the random Support ID
- app version
- build number
- platform (macOS)
- distribution channel
Registration does not send your name, email address, chats, projects, prompts, or project paths. Entitlement status may be checked so GroxStudio can determine whether Pro access is active. If you purchase through a web checkout provider, that provider may collect billing details under its own policy.
Licensing and checkout providers may also receive ordinary network or transaction metadata needed to process a request, such as IP address, request time, and billing information you give the checkout provider.
7. App update checks
When automatic update checking is enabled, or when you check for updates manually, GroxStudio contacts GitHub to learn whether a newer release is available. That request may include ordinary network metadata such as your IP address as seen by GitHub, and app version information needed to evaluate the update.
Update artifacts are published through the GroxStudio releases repository, so the app does not need an embedded GitHub credential.
8. What we do not collect
GroxStudio does not include:
- advertising or ad networks
- behavioral analytics products
- third-party crash reporting SDKs
Local diagnostics you generate stay on your Mac unless you choose to share them when contacting support.
9. Website and support contact
When you visit swiftdev.dev, the site host may process standard request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and timestamps for delivery and security. The site is not used to run ads or behavioral tracking for GroxStudio.
If you email support or use the contact form, we receive the information you send and use it to respond, troubleshoot, prevent abuse, and keep ordinary business records. Please do not include passwords, complete payment-card numbers, or secret values in support mail.
10. Retention, security, and your choices
Local chats, projects, configuration, logs, and encrypted secrets remain until you delete them through the app, remove app data, or clear them with operating-system tools. Licensing providers may retain entitlement and transaction records according to their policies and legal obligations.
You can avoid sending prompts or attachments, avoid Voice, avoid using secret references in requests, turn off or skip update checks where the app allows, and contact us about licensing records tied to your Support ID. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure; protect your Mac account and Grok credentials accordingly.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as GroxStudio changes. Revised text will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Material changes will receive additional notice when required by law.
